Janice Leuschen grew up in a funny family. Read into that what you will.
Laughter and jokes were a big part of her upbringing. Growing up, she watched hours of Lucy, Red Skeleton, Carol Burnett and read nearly every Erma Bombeck column written..
Janice believes that humour allows us to look at our daily frustrations in a new light and helps us to realize that whatever is bugging us, well, it’s not all that bad after all.
Over the years, Janice has published humour columns in several newspapers and publications, as well as performed her pieces at public readings.
In 2003, Janice placed second in the 7th Annual Erma Bombeck Writing Competition from among 1,100 entries from 48 states and 21 countries. She is the only non-American to place in the contest.
“When I got the phone call saying that I’d placed second, I was nearly speechless,” Janice said. “Whew, that was close.”
If the readers of your publication could use a little humour in their lives, email Janice Leuschen today and ask her about writing for you.

“If you don’t laugh at least once a day – I mean the kind of laugh where you put your head back, slap your knee and howl – it’s been a dreadful day.”
